Minimum Age

You must have turned 30 years of age by Thursday, 26 May to compete.
Age divisions participated in are determined by the youngest player in your team.

Age Divisions

Pairs: 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
Mixed 4's: 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Fees

Sport Fee: $45 per person per team (pairs and fours)

Games Registration Fee in addition to sport fee:

Early Bird #1 - $69 per person (ends 31 Aug 2022)
Early Bird #2 - $71 per person (ends 31 Dec 2022)
Nominal Registration - $89 per person (ends 25 May 2023)

If you are a player in need of a team for Mixed Fours, please select the team named "I need a Volleyball team" and use PIN 1234. The sport convenor will then allocate you to a team.

Additional Information

Divisions may be amalgamated depending on entries however medals will be awarded based on each separate division.
Teams must be available to play at all times during the scheduled competition times.
A maximum of two players can be registered in a pairs team and six players in a fours team.
For the mixed 4's competition 2 males and 2 females must be on the court at all times.
Players will likely be required to duty referee.
Competition will be conducted under the Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) rules, however the game structure may change to fit time constraints.
The competition is presented by Cairns Volleyball Association.
Non-playing officials must be registered do not have to pay a sports fee, only a reduced registration fee.
Non-playing officials are any team members who are not players, but rather coaches, managers, trainers etc. Non-playing officials will be eligible for a medal in the event your team wins.
To register as a non-playing official please complete the normal registration process, but rather than choosing beach volleyball, choose the non-playing official option and list your sport and team name.
